What is the minimum area required per animal?
During the feeding period each calf needs an area of 1,5 - 2 m².
What do I have to observe concerning microclimate?
Calves should be kept in a dry, draft-free location. Each calf needs an air volume corresponding to 6 - 7 m³.
How many calves shall be hold in one group?
The group size should not exceed 25 - 30 animals, in order to maintain clear calf groups.
What do calves need apart from feed?
The animals do not only need milk but also fresh water from automatic waterers. Moreover, they should be fed several times/day with tasty high-quality hay and concentrate, later on with silage too.
