Excursion Cornell University Dairy Science Club
March, 19, 2010

More than 60 students from the Cornell University under direction of Professor Mike van Amburgh started their one week study trip through Germany with a visit of Förster-Technik in Engen.

After a short introduction of the company by CEO Markus Förster and a brief presentation of dairy farming in Europe and Germany by Dr. Markus Käck, the group made a guided tour through the different departments within the company. Afterwards the students got a presentation about computer-controlled calf feeders and had the possibility to discuss about automated progesterone analyzers as well as milk pasteurizers.

Despite the stresses and strains of travelling the students were highly interested in the company and its products and valued the visit as informative, inspiring and as a very good start of their study trip.
