The Pacesetter In Calf Feeding Technology

Future does not happen, you create it - this applies to the development of modern calf feeding technology.

When, at the end of the sixties, the first calf feeders came onto the market, calf feeding technology was exposed to very high expectations, but reality did not live up to them.

Nevertheless, in 1971 Martin Förster founded an engineering consultancy for the development and production of a new generation of automatic calf feeders, developing later on into the company Förster-Technik.

When even experts did not see any future chances in the automatic calf feeders, thus putting their interest on other feeding systems, Förster-Technik continued developing the automatic feeders with courage and a lot of innovative ideas: from simple ad libitum feeders and computer-controlled machines to integrated feeding systems and dosing units for animal-specific feed dispense in large calf fattening plants.

Within a few years simple calf feeders became the most reliable and future-proof drinking and feeding systems, offering interfaces for oncoming technologies in modern agriculture. Today the products of Förster-Technik are sold in more than 40 countries, thus showing that this technology is convincing all over the world.
