Functional overview Baby-Mix-Feeder Part 1

Feed computer

The integrated feed computer controls the targeted dispense of up to five components: Either three main components and two additional components or two main components and three additional components. These components can be dispensed for each individual group with warm or cold water.

Each feeding group can be fed according to up to four feeding plans, i.e. different in composition, quantity and feeding time. A graduated blending of starter and piglet feed for a gentle conversion is possible.

Valve units

To a Baby-Mix-Feeder up to 5 valve units with 4 to 8 valves each can be connected, i.e. – depending on the plant – up to 40 troughs can be supplied by one feeder. Each valve provides one trough with feed via a pipeline. The valves are located outside the pen. This protects them from harmful gases, thus prologing service life of the components considerably.

The valve units can be installed in a stationary or mobile way. A mobile installation allows you to displace a valve unit from one pen to another as soon as the piglets have completed the feeding period and the valve unit is no longer required. This effects that the plant is better utilized without need of moving the piglets.

In case of large groups several valves can be combined in one pen.
