Liquid feeders for piglets

In the field of piglet rearing Förster-Technik offers two different liquid feeders: The Baby-Milk-Mix-Feeder for motherless rearing of piglets as of the third day of life and the Baby-Mix-Feeder for liquid feeding of weaners up to 30 kg.

Feeding according to piglets' needs

The reduction of piglet losses still poses an important challenge to sow and piglet rearing farms, especially during the suckling period as well as the critical conversion period after weaning. Beside the quality of piglet feed, feed preparation plays a decisive role for rearing success. A modern feeding technology is required which takes better care of piglets' needs:

• Warm and small feed portions
• Frequent meals evenly spread over the day
• Optimum feed hygiene thanks to always fresh preparation
• Gentle transition from sow's milk to solid feed

Piglet-specific feed preparation

For piglets and weaners only the best is good enough. This rule does not only apply to feed composition but also to preparation.

Thanks to a computer control the feeding systems from Förster-Technik mix up the feed portions for each group individually with warm water. The warm feed is then conveyed via pipelines into the trough. Existing troughs can be used. An intelligent sensor control determines and checks the required feed quantities.

Optimum hygiene without detergent

After each feeding all pipes of the system are completely emptied. The patented cleaning process makes sure that the system is efficiently cleaned all-automatically by air pressure and water - without need of detergent.
